Let us not waste any more time and read everything in #LaCronica We will see everything that has happened for Torrejón Basketball Academy on the FBM basketball courts, both away games and at our home courts, Javi Limones and Nuria Fernández, during the action on February 21st and 22nd, as well as a preview of the upcoming schedule:
The Girls Second Year Benjamin team remains in second place in the league, easily defeating C.B. Arganda (50-0) at Javi Limones. They will be playing San Viator there on February 28th at 11:15 AM.
The Boys First Year Alevín team continues its upward trajectory, defeating Pintobasket Negro (77-51) at Javi Limones. They have now climbed to 8-4, in third place in the competition. We will play against Alcorcón Basket B on February 28th at 9:50 AM at the Pepe Domaica Arena.
The U12 Girls First Year team could not secure a home win against C.B. Zona Press (29-71), being easily outplayed by our porous defense near the basket. This opponent has only suffered one defeat in the league. We are in the middle of the standings with a 4-5 record, in fifth place. We will play against C.F.V. Basket Valdebebas on February 28th at 10:00 AM at their home arena.
The U12 Blue team had no luck in their weekend game against C.B. Getafe C on February 21st (44-51), despite showing promise at times. We have a 4-10 record in the league. We will have to travel to the Paco Hernández Pavilion on February 28th to play C.D. Estudio at 11:15 AM.
The U12 Girls Second Year team will be looking for their tenth win in the Gold division. They currently have a 9-3 record. We play Patrocinio San José on their home court on February 28th at 6:15 PM. They are currently at the bottom of the league table. We then return to the Javi Limones arena on March 8th for a crucial match against C.B. Tres Cantos, who are second in the standings with an 11-1 record, at 4:00 PM.
The U12 Girls Second Year team is riding high in the Silver division in the Marco Aldany guidance: they have a 13-1 record and are the league leaders, following their latest victory (19-69) away against Parla Básquet 2014. We face San Agustín del Guadalix on February 28th at the Javi Limones arena at 2:15 PM.
The U14 Girls First Year team continues to lead the league, adding another win to their 12-1 record, bringing their total to thirteen. We triumphed (47-43) against Basket Aranjuez Blanco at home, in a tough match that was hard-fought. Applause for the amazing coach Nerea Sánchez. We are off to the Enrique Blas arena to face Baloncesto Villalba on February 28th at 1:30 PM.
The Girls U14 Preferente team had a double-header, first away against Alameda de Osuna 2012 (50-65). And then at home on February 22nd (61-18) against Distrito Carabanchel B at the Nuria Fernández arena, for their second win of the weekend. Amazing! We are now facing Baloncesto San Fernando on March 7th at the Javi Limones arena, with the time yet to be announced.
The Boys U14 First Year team improved their record to 6-8 for the current season. We triumphed at the Nuria Fernández arena on February 21st (43-30) against C.D. Estudio Blanco. Huge, as we have beaten the second-place team in the standings. We are playing Pintobasket Naranja away on February 28th at 1:00 PM.
The U14 Boys First Year White team has climbed from the bottom of the table with a 3-8 record in the league. They won at Javi Limones on February 21st (49-35) against Colegio Mater Immaculata. We are off to Magariños on February 28th to face Movistar Estudiantes Russell at 6:00 PM.
The U14 Preferente A team could not pull off a win and remains at 15-0 in the league, with their most recent loss (84-79) against Juan de Austria A at their home arena. This opponent is now tied with us at the top of the table, with a 15-1 record. We are playing HA Basket on February 28th at 9:00 AM at Javi Limones.
The Under-14 B team is now on a losing streak, having lost 42-62 to San Agustín Los Negrales. We struggled to get into the game and had defensive problems near the basket. We play Valcude Alcobendas B on the road on March 7th at a time to be determined.
The Under-14 A team leads the Bronze Division with a 7-0 record, having defeated Distrito Olímpico B 64-49 to extend their winning streak. Highlights of this game are available in a video recap on our YouTube channel. We will play C.B. Coslada on the road on March 8th at a time to be determined.
The Women Preferente Cadet team did it again, improving their record to 12-4 after defeating Recuerdo S.A.D. (36-32). Well done, girls! Pulling off tough matches and close scores towards the end. We will face C.B. Pizarro Campus Ávila on March 7th at the Vicente del Bosque arena at 7:15 PM.
The First Year Cadet team had a tough time on February 22nd against Villaviciosa de Odón Blanco (54-85), the undefeated league leaders who are now 17-0. We will play Isaac Newton B on February 28th at 1:30 PM, and this will be an away game.
The Blanco Cadet team could not overcome Pilaristas A (12-59) and remains at the bottom of the league standings. We will be back in action on March 7th against Alameda de Osuna at their Villa de Madrid arena.
The Cadete B team had a double-header weekend. First, on February 21st, they played at home (45-46) against Baloncesto Villalba B. Then, on February 22nd, they visited C.B. Pozuelo (65-68), and we won. It was bittersweet because we played well and thought we would get two victories. We would like to highlight Ibrahim Keita, who was always consistent, and Rhys Caskey and his debut with 21 points in the last game. Next up is Distrito Olímpico B at the Nuria Fernández arena on March 1st at 6:30 PM.
The Cadete A team could not extend their good run and fell to a 3-4 record in the Bronze category. They lost to Real Canoe B on Saturday (82-59) at the Pez Volador arena. Next up is C.B. Las Rozas B on the weekend of March 8th at the Javi Limones arena; the time is yet to be determined.
Junior Preferente Blue played again and suffered another defeat (52-68) at the Nuria Fernández arena on February 22nd against Club Europeo Baloncesto B. Ramón Hernández and his 24 points were not enough to turn things around. We are currently fourth with a 10-6 record. We have an away game on February 28th at 3:15 PM against CBF Fuenlabrada.
Junior Preferente had another great game this season. Come on, guys! We are currently second behind Santa María del Pilar with a 15-3 record after defeating Baloncesto Villalba (59-60) in our last game on February 21st. Izan Cordero led the way with 17 points. We face Movistar Estudiantes A on March 1st at 9:15 AM at the Nuria Fernández arena.
Junior B lost their away game against Uros de Rivas A (81-55). We are currently in fifth place in the group stage standings. We will travel to Nuria Fernández on February 28th to face Arganzuela Centro. The game will be at 9:00 AM.
Junior A has improved its record in the group stage to 7-0. They secured a victory (69-122) against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada B at El Arroyo. Álvaro Fernández had a remarkable weekend, once again leading the way with 23 points in 26 minutes. Luis Payas and Sebastián Malavé also contributed significantly with 18 points each. We have a doubleheader this weekend: C.B. Las Rozas A on February 27th at 9:15 PM, followed by Baloncesto Alcobendas A on Sunday, March 1st, at Javi Limones.
Under-22 B has grown considerably and is on the rise, currently sitting in fourth place with a 10-6 record. Victory (85-81) against Villaviciosa de Odón A.B. A great game from the new Venezuelan player Bryan Quijada DSouza, who led the way with 25 points. The best plays are on our YouTube channel. We will face C.D. Tajamar at 11:00 AM on March 1st.
The U-22 Gold team extended their undefeated streak to 16 consecutive wins in Torrelodones against Jansen BT on Sunday, who are now second in the standings with only one loss. And bravo to the Gregorio Recio-led team, our Coach of the Week, certainly delivered a great performance. Victory 17! (82-84), with a fantastic game from Marco Pérez and his 19 points, making all the difference on the court. Seyni Ndoye, the unsung MVP, scored 16 points in just 16 minutes on the court. We are now at Javi Limones on March 1st to await the arrival of Pintobasket at 5:45 PM.
Torrejón Spartans won again and (what a win!) boast a 13-3 record, defeating G.S.D. Alcalá (63-77) on Sunday morning. Tommy Morales-led team is playing very seriously, and we are on a roll! We will host San Viator on March 1st at 7:30 PM at Javi Limones.
And to wrap up #TheRecap, the TBS National Senior team got back on track in the VIPS competition after defeating C.D.V. (84-95) in Madrid on February 21st. Junior player Álvaro Fernández had a memorable game, stepping up to lead the team offense due to numerous injuries. The stage is set, with a 12-6 record, for us to have the VIP game of the year this February 28th at the Javi Limones: Uros de Rivas, at 7:30 pm.
