We are back with #LaCronica. Whirlwind of the 2022-2023 season, which is already coming to an end with the culmination of the Playoffs, the definition days. Let us begin with the summary of how another weekend was for the different FBM categories in which we compete:

The Alevín Girls of the Second Year are doing very well with their season, and they have a record of two consecutive victories in the second phase. First against Veritas Pozuelo (30-50) on a visit, and then they easily beat Distrito Olímpico Blanco (74-33) at Javi Limones. The girls lead their group, and will play against Lions Basket Arroyomolinos at 11:15 next May 6th.

The Second Year Alevín had a dream year. These kids led by Manuel Álvarez have an almost immaculate record and have entered the Playoffs through the Play-In, where unfortunately they could not beat A.D.C Boadilla A (53-39) and (57-57) in the two-way bracket. The point differential from the first leg was enough, and the draw at Javi Limones was not enough. Congratulations to this group that promises a lot in its formative phase. We will play in the reclassification against Severo Torrejón the next game, on May 6th at noon as the visitors.

The Infantil Primer Año began its second phase of the season with a victory (19-69) over Distrito Carabanchel, highly meritorious as visitors. Their next rival will be Valcude Alcobendas B, this May 6th for visitors at 4:00 p.m. Later, we will play at Javi Limones on May 19th against Pureza de María at 7:30 p.m.

The Infantil Femenino is also in the next phase, although with a 1-2 record. They began by winning (52-26) over C.B Getafe B at home, but then they lost games (38-42) against Baloncesto Alcalá and against Parque Cataluña Torrejón (36-35) in a very tight way, two that hurt. We return to action going to Getafe to sweep the particular series against C.B Getafe B, on May 13th at a time to be defined.

Our Yellow Preferred Infantil lost (39-63) on the last date of April against La Torre de Hortaleza, local. This May 6th at home we will play against C.B Isaac Newton, at 09:30 we will see you at Javi Limones. This, to start the second phase, in division 3.

The Preferred Infantil knew how to do things well at home and beat Movistar Estudiantes C (39-36), on what was the last date of April. We will return in May, on the 13th, when as visitors we will play against San Viator at a time to be defined.

Infantil A fought and was not reached before (55-53) against C.B Arganzuela Centro at the start of the third phase in bronze. There was a rest day last weekend, and the category will play again this May 6th at Javi Limones against A.D.C Boadilla at 1:15 p.m.

The Female Cadet comes from beating Pureza de María (63-60) in a close match, and will begin its journey in the Spring Cup in its division 1 against Parla Básquet, this May 13th at a time to be defined, at Javi Limones.

Cadete B Preferente played twice: (44-46) as visitors against A.D.C Boadilla, a beautiful victory, and then at Nuria Fernández against C.B Majadahonda Amarillo (28-38). We are going to try to match Majadahonda this May 20th at a time to be defined, and then sweep Boadilla the next weekend at that time.

The Cadete A Preferente played well and won against Aravaca Basket C.D.E (53-41), which has made us qualify for the Round of 16 in the second division. We will play this May 6th at 5:30 p.m. at the Nuria Fernández against La Torre de Hortaleza. The next game, on May 13th against the same rival to hopefully secure the series.

Our Cadet B is in line in the third sentence of the bronze category, with two straight wins. The first (67-74) on the road over C.B Villa de Valdemoro. Then, they beat Pintobasket (68-94). We close the phase this May 7th at 5:00 p.m. at the Nuria Fernández against C.B Isaac Newton, and it will be a great match because we are the two undefeated in the group of 4.

Cadet A secured the Madrid Community Playoffs and was seeded from the Round of 16, against Alcorcón Basket A, a rival who was beaten in "straight sets" to use tennis jargon. In the Quarterfinals, Movistar Estudiantes A awaited us, with whom we could not (80-57) - (79-113) in both games, to say goodbye to the dream of the Final Four. Credit to Pedro Rodrigues, who took on a heavy workload and was the top scorer in all games of the postseason. Also, Pablo Fuente, who risked his body playing while nursing an injury after a severe ankle sprain. We will play the third gold phase, against Real Canoe A this May 6th at 10:15 in Madrid.

Junior B Preferente comes from suffering but in the end with a happy ending, winning on the road (40-52) and then losing by the minimum (53-54) against Villa de Algete. They made sure to advance in the playoffs, and now in the Quarterfinals of this division 3, Santa María del Pilar B comes on May 6th as visitors at 1:00 p.m.

Junior A Preferente ended its season in a bittersweet way, after failing to overcome C.B Leganés A (46-53) - (63-64) due to the point differential, despite having won the last of the two games on the road. Congratulations to the kids who competed and were always in the upper zone.

The Junior Women had a difficult match against a rival they had won, the Carabanchel District (43-19) - (37-41), which has defeated us twice and thus eliminated us in the Round of 16 in this second division . A goodbye to the season, and to part of the graduating girl group. We will see each other again next year with the 2006, come on!

Junior B played against Spanish Basketball Academy B (90-89) who snatched the victory from us at the last breath. But then, we have known how to beat Brains Moraleja (92-71) at our house. The next day of this silver category in its third phase is against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada B, for visitors this May 7th at 1:30 p.m.

Our Junior A has been huge this year. We arrived in third place in the group of death to the Playoffs, being a year to remember. We went straight to the Quarterfinals, and we got the archrival and Movistar Estudiantes A (72-84) - (95-61), who defeated us in consecutive games. We now aspire to be the fifth in Madrid in the reclassification from 5 to 8, and after an unexpected loss against Baloncesto Torrelodones A (69-63), a rival we had swept in the regular season, we have to throw in the rest this coming May 7th at 7:30 p.m. at Javi Limones to break this key. We are with you guys!

The U-22 Bronze won again well and the most recent victim (45-82) has been C.D.E Baloncesto S.M.V. Matchday 22 of the league will be this May 6th at the Nuria Fernández against Parque Europa, at 7:30 p.m. If we win, we could be third in Madrid in the regular phase of the category.

U-22 Oro comes from getting an incredible game against Liceo Francés (72-63) at home, the leader of the table, whom we have swept in the regular season counting the last victory. We have given them 2 of the 4 defeats they have. Our group is fourth in the table with a 15-6 mark, and Liceo is at the top with 17-4. Final squad of film among the first four teams, without a doubt. Another key duel this May 7th, against Baloncesto Torrelodones A in the Madrid mountains at 5:00 p.m.

The National Senior has entered the playoffs with an irregular season, and has brought out the caste that characterizes him to start by winning his key and surprise. The rival? A demanding Sun Chlorella Dragons who started with home advantage and knew how to get us out of the game in the first (72-54). Then, we went to Javi Limones and they made it their duty to win and extend the series (71-66) to the decisive final game, even if it was as visitors. And, there in Madrid near the Cuatro Torres zone, the Colo Zuttion-led by Roberto Donaire and Javier Sánchez are two double-doubles, we have beaten them again (73-79) to ring the bell. Special mention also to the American Ty Fish, with a great offensive game. Also highlight the return home of Carlos Abentín, who was a key player in the series. We are heading towards the VIPS League Quarterfinals, and a tough rival is coming, the Olympic District, whom we will see this May 6th at 6:30 p.m. in Madrid, the first of this series. Towards the Final Four, we know you can!
