The final stretch of the FBM Playoffs. Our TBS categories are nearing the end of their respective seasons (some have already finished), and in #LaCronica we will give you a recap of Torrejón Basketball Academy games on the FBM basketball courts, both away games on the current date and at our Javi Limones and Nuria Fernández courts during the action on May 16-17 and the upcoming date:

The Girls Second Year Benjamin team is currently in the reclassification round for positions 17-32, and on May 9th they returned to winning ways on the road against GSD Baloncesto Alcalá (19-37). We will see them back on the court on May 23rd at 9:00 AM at the Javi Limones court against Villaviciosa de Odón A.B.

The Boys Under-12 First Year White team played well and got off to a good start against Marianistas Amoros on May 9th at Javi Limones (66-15), winning comfortably. They will play away against C.D. El Valle in Sanchinarro on May 23rd at 9:00 AM.

The Girls Under-12 First Year team lost to Colmenar Viejo on May 9th at Javi Limones (45-59). Their next game is scheduled for May 10th at Javi Limones against Patrocinio San José. They hope to bounce back on May 23rd at 11:15 AM against Colegio Los Sauces in La Moraleja.

The Under-12 Second Year Blue team had a disappointing day against Arganzuela Centro (61-46) on April 25th at home. We will see each other again after the May 10th break, against Pintobasket Negro, specifically on May 23rd at 11:00 AM at the Príncipe de Asturias arena.

The U12 Girls Second Year team has returned to winning ways, securing a victory on May 9th against Virgen de Atocha (49-44) in the 17th-32nd place reclassification tournament. Well done to José Gismero-led team! We are 1-0 in this phase. Now we await our next match on May 23rd, when we will face C.B. Zona Press at 10:45 AM at the Javi Limones arena.

The U12 Girls Second Year team is currently in the 17th-32nd place reclassification tournament and was unable to secure a win on May 9th against Pintobasket Naranja at the Javi Limones arena (67-107). We are currently 0-1 in this phase. We will see you again on May 23rd, when we travel to Los Rosales at 6:30 PM to face C.B. Ciudad de Móstoles.

The U14 Girls First Year team is now in the FBM Quarterfinals, and last Thursday we lost to Corazonistas Blanco (42-52) at Javi Limones. The return match on Sunday was a thrilling game, where we came back to win (51-58), but after tying the score, a 9-4 run in overtime cost us dearly, and we were eliminated. Well done, girls, and Paula and Nerea Sánchez! We will play C.D. Estudio Blanco on May 30th at a time to be determined, also at Javi Limones.

The U14 Girls Preferente team started their FBM Round of 16 campaign against Salesianos Paseo on May 9th, losing 50-37, but unfortunately, the scoreline did not reflect their success. We had the second leg and home-court advantage on May 16th at Sonia Abejón against Salesianos Paseo (58-47), and we narrowly missed out. A commendable effort from the girls, and from Osvaldo Deocares and Álvaro Pacheco!

The Boys First Year team could not make it through these Quarterfinals, but we should be proud. On May 15th, they lost (56-80) to C.B. Ciudad de Móstoles, who visited Javi Limones. The following day, they showed a much better performance and played a fantastic away game (102-94) despite the loss. Highlights are available on social media. We are now in the fight for 5th-8th place. We will play on May 30th against C.B. Getafe A at Juan de la Cierva.

The Boys First Year team Blanco, will have a bye this weekend, May 9th-10th. This coming May 23rd, we face Estudio Amarillo at the Javi Limones arena at 12:45 PM. We will play Colegio El Prado on May 29th at 7:30 PM at the Nuria Fernández arena.

The Infantil Preferente A team finished strong in the Playoffs, reaching the Quarterfinals. We won again (72-32) against Valdefuentes Basket Futuro A. What a year for Miggy Álvarez team! We will play Arganzuela Centro Blanco at 1:00 PM at their home arena on May 23rd.

The Infantil B team finally secured a home victory this time (60-10) at the Sonia Abejón arena against Baloncesto Paracuellos Blanco. Then, on May 17th, we will travel to the away arena for another win against Fénix Basket Club Boadilla. We are currently leading the standings with a 4-0 record in this phase, in 21st-24th place. We will face Fénix Basket Club Boadilla on May 23rd at the Javi Limones arena at 2:15 PM.

The U14 A team is currently 4-1 in this phase, competing for positions 16-27 in the FBM Silver League. They defeated Pintobasket 106-70 at the Javi Limones arena on May 17th. They will play away on May 24th against C.B. Ciudad de Móstoles at Los Rosales at 3:00 PM.

The Women Preferente Cadet team suffered their second consecutive defeat this weekend, this time against Patrocinio San José (43-33) away from home. This is due to the reclassification of positions 33-36 in the league. We are currently 2-2 in this phase. Our next game is on May 23rd at 1:00 PM, away against Ensanche de Vallecas A.

The First Year Cadet team returned to action on May 9th, when we fought hard away (44-63) against Colegio Joyfe and emerged victorious. We are 2-0 in this phase for positions 39-41 in the competition. We will have a bye on May 23-24.

The White Cadet team was unable to secure a win away (68-41) against Recuerdo S.A.D. This is in the fight to avoid relegation in Preferente Division D1. We are currently 0-4 in this phase. Our next match is on May 23rd against Arroyomolinos C.B. Cadet A, at 6:15 PM in their home gym.

The Cadet B team got off to a flying start in the reclassification round for positions 37-48 in Division 1, winning both of their games: on May 16th at the Nuria Fernández gym (106-52) against Baloncesto San Jorge 2011. Then, at home on Sunday (71-78), they came from behind to secure a sweet back-to-back victory. Highlights are available on social media and YouTube. The derby is on May 24th at 3:30 PM at the Javi Limones gym against Cadet A.

Cadet A also achieved victory in the reclassification round for positions 37-48 in Division 1, defeating Baloncesto Leganés 2010 A (102-66) at the Javi Limones gym this Sunday, bringing their record to 3-0 and their undefeated status in the phase. The derby is this May 24th at 3:30 PM at the Javi Limones arena against Cadete B.

Júnior Preferente Azul has a 2-3 record in this phase, currently ranked 29th-32nd in the competition. Their away game on May 9th at 5:00 PM against Madrid FSM C.D.B B was postponed to June 1st.

Júnior Preferente has lost twice and was eliminated in the Round of 16, first on April 12th away against Ensanche de Vallecas A (72-66). They faced the same opponent again on April 19th (47-56) at the Javi Limones arena.

Júnior B had a bye this past weekend, April 26th.

Junior A reached the 5th-8th place playoff in the Gold League, first defeating Baloncesto Fuenlabrada away (112-116) and then BT A at home in Torrelodones on April 21st. Last weekend, they cruised to a 103-77 victory over Real Canoe this past Sunday at the Javi Limones arena, winning all their remaining games. We are now fifth in Madrid in the Gold League! What a great season for the Colo Zuttion team, who gave the impression of being a Final Four contender.

Under-22 B continues their winning streak in this playoff for 29th-32nd place in the league. This past Sunday, they secured a 75-48 victory against San Agustín Los Negrales A, putting them in second place in the playoff with a 3-2 record. Early this morning, May 24th, at 9:30 AM, they will travel to play at C.D. Estudio home court.

The U22 Gold team won the Final Four Playoffs once again! Congratulations to the Gregorio Recio team, who hope to emulate last year silver medal and turn it into gold. They secured a 90-84 victory against CB Getafe A in the second leg at the Javi Limones arena on May 16th. We are looking forward to the Final Four, where we will travel to the Generación de Oro Pavilion to face BT, the home team, in the semifinals at 12:30 PM on May 23rd.

Torrejón Spartans fell in the first of the FBM Quarterfinals (88-57) against Patrocinio San José at the Antonio Díaz Miguel arena. Their opponent capitalized on their ball movement and three-point shooting throughout the game to pull away. Highlights are available on social media. The second leg will be played at the Javi Limones arena on May 24th at 1:30 PM.

And to finish #TheChronicle, the TBS National Senior team reached three games in their VIPS Round of 16 tie but could not pull it off (67-75) against Valcude Alcobendas, despite another great game from Carlos Abentín. Playing in a fantastic atmosphere with the home crowd cheering them on, it was a tough match, and the injuries that have plagued us this part of the season, including Roberto Donaire, Javier Sánchez, Jorge Herráiz, and others, have taken their toll. Applause for the team, who started the year by winning the VIPS Cup, for battling all year long. Time to recharge and come back for the same goal: the title and promotion to the FEB Third Division in 2026-2027.
