Playoffs, come on and go for it!

Our TBS categories are in the thick of it, and we at #LaCronica are here to tell you all about it: Here is the recap for Torrejón Basketball Academy on the FBM basketball courts, both away games and home games at the Javi Limones and Nuria Fernández courts on March 27, 28, and 29, and the start of April with the do-or-die matchups – on the court:


The Second Year Girls Benjamin team is not wasting any time, and they have added another consecutive victory to maintain their league lead, defeating Villanueva de la Cañada (60-10). We have a 13-1 record and are hopeful for what is to come. The girls have made it to the Playoffs! We are going for the Round of 32 this April 11 at 9:00 AM, against C.B. Las Rozas at the Javi Limones. How wonderful!

The Blanco Boys Under-12 First Year team secured a home victory in a superb game against Movistar Estudiantes Filipovic (64-57), with both teams tied for second place at 11-4. This marks our twelfth win. Well done for the Adrián López-led boys for this fantastic victory. We continue our pursuit of the undefeated C.B. Zona Press. We will play against C.B. Las Rozas B at the Javi Limones arena on April 11th at 2:15 PM.

The Blanco Girls Under-12 First Year team continues its winning streak, this time against Buen Consejo (30-33) on the road on March 21st, a direct rival for a podium finish in the regular season. We improved our record to 7-6, surpassing our previous record, and moved into fourth place in the league. This team has a bye on April 11th and 12th. We will be competing in the reclassification round for positions 46 through 50 in the competition.

The Under-12 Blue team played an away game on March 21st against Colegio Los Sauces and awaits their next opponent after Easter break. This age group has a bye on April 11th and 12th. We will be competing in the reclassification round for positions 85 through 87 in the league.

The Under-12 Girls Under-12 team bounced back from their previous defeat (71-46) against Menesiano Blue on March 21st at Javi Limones. We have solidified our third-place position in the standings with a 12-6 record. We are in the playoffs! We will be playing in the Round of 32 on April 11th at 10:45 AM at Javi Limones against GSD Baloncesto Alcalá. We are back in the FBM Gold League for the second consecutive year.

The Under-12 Second team remains at the top of the league with a 17-1 record. On March 21st, we went to Severo Torrejón court (18-70) and won without incident. Aravaca Basket C.D.E. is chasing us in second place with one less win. We are in the Playoffs! We will be at Javi Limones on April 11th at 12:30 PM against C.D. Estudio Blanco for the start of the FBM Round of 32 in the Gold category.

The Girls First Year team continues its unstoppable run as league leaders, now defeating Brains Arturo Soria (67-17). This brings our record to 17-1. The girls, coached by Osvaldo Deocares and Álvaro Pacheco, our young coaches, have been outstanding. We will be playing away against C.B. Zona Press on April 11th at 1:15 PM in the FBM Round of 32.

The Girls Preferente team has another great game in store to keep winning. This time, we defeated Fuenlabrada Blanco Girls Team (39-19) and remain close behind the top of the standings, just one win away with our impressive 14-2 record in the competition. We will play Aravaca Basket C.D.E. on April 11th at the Sonia Abejón arena at 10:45 AM.

The Boys First Year Under-14 team bounced back and secured their seventh victory (71-20) against Juan de Austria at the Nuria Fernández arena. We climbed to eighth place in the standings, tied with Fundal Alcobendas D. We will begin the FBM Round of 32 on April 11th at 7:30 PM with a visit to Jansen Baloncesto Torrelodones.

The Boys First Year Under-14 team, Blanco, could not overcome Colegio Alameda de Osuna at home (10-61), losing at the Nuria Fernández arena to a top-ranked opponent. The team will have a bye on April 11th and 12th. We will be in the relegation playoffs for positions 91 through 93 in the league.

The Under-14 A team improved to 19-1 after winning away (16-66) against Revolution at their home arena. We continue to share the top spot with Juan de Austria A, and we will not let this opportunity slip away. We play Arganzuela Centro Blanco on April 11th at the Javi Limones arena at 2:15 PM.

The Under-14 B team lost away to Baloncesto Aristos C, the current league leaders (95-47). We now have a 4-12 record, in ninth place. We travel to Madrid on April 11th to play Colegio Claret Madrid at 11:00 AM.

The Under-14 A team topped the Bronze Division with a 10-0 record, including a nail-biting 72-74 victory over Basket Aranjuez Blanco on March 22nd. We did it, team! Congratulations to the boys and to David Sanz Jr. We will be facing Baloncesto Alcobendas B on April 12th at 9:00 AM in their arena. We will be competing for 16th to 27th place in the Silver Division.

The Women Cadet Preferente team could not overcome Policlínica Madrid Parla Básquet on the road (54-24), who are currently leading the competition with an impressive 19-0 record. We are in third place with a 12-7 record. Tomás Morales-led team will regroup after this Saturday training session. We will play against Majadahonda on April 11th at 2:15 PM at the Javi Limones arena.

The First Year Cadet team had another good day, winning against Arganzuela Centro (56-53) and adding another notable weekend to their tally. We are in the middle of the table with a 10-11 record, and this victory against a top-ranked opponent is excellent! We will face Marianistas Amoros on April 11th at 11:00 AM at their arena.

The White Cadet team could not overcome Movistar Estudiantes on the road on March 21st (50-38), and we lost. We are at the bottom of the standings in this regular season, with our eighteenth loss. We are heading into our next game on April 11th against C.B. Getafe A at the Sonia Abejón arena at 9:00 AM.

The Cadete B team finally had the chance to play at home this time against Valcude Alcobendas (64-54), securing a victory. This is our second win of the season, although we finished at the bottom of the standings for this part of the season. We are back in action on April 26th at the Javi Limones arena for a memorable game against our Cadete A team. We will be in the reclassification round for positions 37-48 in Division 1.

The Cadete A team has now won five games in the Bronze phase, securing a 72-76 victory on the road against C.D.I. Rozasbasket, and featuring a great debut for Souleymane Sey in the category. It is been a good recovery this season, bringing our record to 5-5. We return to action this April 26th at the Javi Limones arena, in a match to remember, against our Cadete B team. We will be in the reclassification round for positions 37 through 48 in Division 1.

Júnior Preferente Azul and their winning streak came to an end (33-77) against San Blas Basket at the Nuria Fernández arena. This opponent is second in the league with an 18-2 record, while we are currently fourth with a 13-7 record. Next April 11th, we play La Paz C.D. at their home arena at 12:30 PM.

Júnior Preferente won against Basket Aranjuez B away (52-85), and we remain in second place in the competition, now with an 18-4 record and three wins behind the leader. We are already in the Playoffs! And we are heading into the Round of 16 on April 12th at 2:15 PM, playing away against Ensanche de Vallecas A.

Junior B has won to finish the regular season. We will be playing Baloncesto Fuenlabrada B at home on April 12th at the Javi Limones arena, fighting for the 28th to 36th place finish in Madrid in this competition. This game will be at 7:45 PM.

Junior A finished the last phase with a perfect 10-0 record, and the Round of 16 has been no exception in the Playoffs. Two wins out of two, against Pablo Laso Academy A, and then drawn against Real Madrid A. The first game ended in a 124-71 defeat, with Sebastián Malavé leading all scorers. We could not advance at home at the Javi Limones arena either (80-108), despite Malavé stellar 29 points. We are now going to compete for 5th through 8th place in the Gold division, starting against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in El Arroyo on April 12th at 5:00 PM.

The U22 B team played on March 29th at the Nuria Fernández arena, hosting Arroyomolinos C.B. (87-86) and winning in an incredible game. The league leaders have been defeated! We handed them their second loss of the competition, and we are now in fourth place with a 14-7 record. Well done to Nacho Gallego-led team! We will be in Aluche on April 12th to play against Revolution at 7:15 PM.

The U22 Gold team is unbeatable, and we are now 21-0 after winning again on March 29th at the Javi Limones arena against Distrito Olímpico, the bottom-ranked team. What a season, guys! We kick off the Playoffs with the Round of 16 matchup on April 12th against Alcorcón Basket A at their home arena at 11:30 AM.

Torrejón Spartans lost after their impressive winning streak, dropping to a 17-4 record. They fell to the league leaders, C.D. Valle, at the Nuria Fernández arena last Sunday (56-78). We will be on the road this April 12th against Ensanche de Vallecas C at 10:30 AM in Arganzuela.

And to wrap up #TheRecap, the TBS Senior National team suffered another painful and close defeat, losing to San Viator at the Pepe Domaica arena (72-69) last Saturday. This was despite Rubén Escanciano and his 30+ points in another inspired performance from beyond the arc. Third place in the standings with a 13-9 record, and that is how we will approach the VIPS Playoffs on April 11th, when we play against Valcude Alcobendas. This is at 7:30 PM at the Javi Limones arena. The VIPS Round of 16 has arrived.
