Older teams win it and continue atop the league standings
Here is #LaCronica version 16 of the 2025-2026 season, with everything that has happened for Torrejón Basketball Academy on the FBM basketball courts, both away games and home games at the Javi Limones and Nuria Fernández courts on February 7th and 8th, as well as a preview of the next round:
The Girls Second Year Benjamin team remains in second place in the league, having defeated C.B. Villa de Valdemoro (49-29) at home to improve their record to 8-1. Their rivals are in third place and chasing them down the standings. They will face C.B. Arganda at the Javi Limones court on February 14th at 12:30 PM.
The Boys First Year Alevín team continues its upward trajectory, having defeated Buen Consejo (59-45) to move closer to the top of the table. We are playing away on February 14th at 9:30 AM against C.B. Villa de Valdemoro.
The U12 Girls First Year team could not visit Valdefuentes Basket Futuro on February 7th at 10:45 AM in their outdoor pavilion due to rain, and the game has been postponed. We will be playing at Javi Limones on February 14th at 2:15 PM against C.B. Zona Press.
The U12 Blue team lost their game against Alameda de Osuna 2014 at Javi Limones (45-53). We will be playing away on February 14th at 9:30 AM against Pilaristas.
The U12 Girls Second Year team has already secured their eighth victory in the Gold division, after defeating C.B. Las Rozas B (52-33) at Javi Limones on February 7th. José Gismero is the Interview of the Month protagonist and it is now available on our social media. We are currently in third place with an 8-3 record. A tough away game against Virgen de Atocha, this February 14th at 11:00 AM in their home arena.
The U12 Second Year team had a nail-biting weekend in the Silver category under Marco Aldany: an 11-0 league record came to an end after falling (52-57) at home to Aravaca Basket, who are hot on their heels in second place. Highlights are available on our social media. The Javi Piñar-led team returns to action this February 14th when they travel to face Olímpico Alcobendas at 11:15 AM.
The U14 Girls First Year team remains league leader after their latest victory, maintaining an 11-0 record. They added another win (42-25) against Basket Leganés. These girls are no joke, having just defeated the team currently in second place. They travel to Madrid this February 14th to face San José del Parque at 9:30 AM.
The Girls Under-14 Preferente team managed a victory this time and are currently in third place with a 9-2 record. They triumphed against Colegio Los Sauces on February 7th (45-50), and Daniel Ríos team once again delivered a strong performance. This victory is even more impressive as it puts them ahead of their closest rival, who now sit in fourth place. Their next home game is on February 22nd at 4:00 PM against Distrito Carabanchel B at the Nuria Fernández court.
The Boys Under-14 First Year team, despite a valiant effort to mount a comeback, could not overcome C.B. Tres Cantos B (53-57). They are currently in sixth place, coached by Agustín Sánchez, while Tres Cantos B sits in fifth. We are off to Rivas Vaciamadrid on February 14th at 3:15 PM to face Uros de Rivas A.
The Boys First Year White team had a bye this past February 7th-8th, but they are back in action on February 14th when we play Baloncesto Rivas Parque Sureste B away at 4:30 PM.
The Preferente A team is now 14-0 in the league, with their most recent victory (17-67) against C.B Ciudad de Móstoles B. This group is having an incredible year. This powerhouse team will travel to Javi Limones on February 14th at 10:45 AM to take on Boadilla Monsters.
The Infantil B team is currently on a losing streak, having lost (32-51) to C.B Getafe C at Nuria Fernández. The Daniel Ríos-led team could not find their rhythm against a top-ranked opponent. We have an away game on February 14th at 6:30 PM against C.D.E. Aravaca Basket.
The Under-14 A team is currently leading the Bronze Division with a 5-0 record, having defeated Basket Aranjuez Blanco 64-49. We then travel to face Parla Básquet A on February 15th at 11:15 AM.
The Women Cadet Preferente team did it again, improving their record to 10-4 after winning at home on February 7th against Villanueva de la Cañada (44-43). What a game for the Tommy Morales-led team they have played! They will be playing away against Uros de Rivas C on February 14th at 8:30 PM.
The First Year Cadet team, after their scheduled game against Piratas Soto Basket on February 7th, will travel to Madrid on February 15th to play Distrito Olímpico Musas at 1:30 PM.
The White Cadet team will be looking to turn defeats into victories when they play Brains Arturo Soria at the Javi Limones arena on February 14th at 9:00 AM.
The Cadet B team suffered another defeat (91-65) this time against Valcude Alcobendas, who are currently the group leaders. We return to action on February 21st, playing at home at 10:45 AM at the Nuria Fernández arena against Baloncesto Villalba B.
Cadete A battled hard and almost pulled it off at home on February 8th against C.D.I. Rozasbasket (82-85), so we drop to fourth place in the group stage standings. We will host A.D.C. Boadilla A at the Nuria Fernández arena on February 15th at 9:15 AM.
Júnior Preferente Azul lost again (35-78), this time against Distrito Carabanchel C., a direct rival who now have a 10-4 record and are tied for third place in the league. We will visit Baloncesto Fuenlabrada on February 14th at 11:30 AM at the Polideportivo El Arroyo.
Junior Preferente could not secure their 14th victory, suffering a surprising away defeat against Buen Consejo (56-45) in a hard-fought game. Despite this, they remain second in the league. They play again on February 15th at the Nuria Fernández arena against Santa María del Pilar B at 1:00 PM.
Junior B lost to the current group stage leader, Valcude Alcobendas, away on February 8th (77-68). Javier Piñar-led team is currently in third place. They play again on February 15th at the Javi Limones arena at 4:00 PM against Baloncesto Aristos A.
Junior A has improved their record in the group stage to 5-0. They secured a victory (97-81) against Distrito Olímpico A. This was a collective effort from the entire squad, coached by Jeremías Zuttion, to maintain their perfect record heading into the Gold Playoffs, currently holding top positions in their group. We will host C.B. Getafe A on February 15th at 5:45 PM at the Javi Limones arena.
The U22 B team has grown significantly and is on the rise, still in fifth place, but with an 8-6 record. They secured a victory on February 8th at home against Madrid Elite Basketball (67-54), whom they are currently chasing for fourth place in the standings. Carlos Marín played well in the win. We will be at the Pedro Ferrandiz arena on February 15th at 4:00 PM against Baloncesto Alcobendas B.
The U22 Gold team remains undefeated and continues to play well, as usual. They achieved their fifteenth victory (71-83) on the road against Colegio Alameda de Osuna on February 8th. Gregorio Recio was awarded Coach of the Week, and he has this team playing exceptionally well: 15-0, yes, the numbers speak for themselves. This coming February 15th at 7:30 PM, we will be hosting Spanish Basketball Academy at the Javi Limones arena for what promises to be a great game.
Torrejón Spartans won again and now have an 11-3 record, defeating Dental Company Ciempobasket 70-49. We will be playing away in one of the games of the day on February 15th, against Menesiano at Guindalera in Madrid at 1:30 PM.
And to wrap up #TheRecap, the TBS Senior National team managed to bounce back this week with a double-header, and now have an 11-5 record in the VIPS League, defeating C.B. Las Rozas 74-67 at the Alfredo Espiniella Pavilion. The Marcos had some outstanding performances; Marco Pérez was omnipresent in the small details, and Marcos Hermosilla was the games leading scorer. The next match on February 14th is pivotal, when we return to the Javi Limones stadium to face C.D Estudio at 7:30 PM.
