We are revving our engines for this upcoming October 9, the date on which we will debut in this 2022-2023 edition of the VIPS League of the Madrid Basketball Federation. The goal? Recover the positive vibrations of two seasons ago, when we reached the Final Four and got one victory away from promotion to the EBA League. Our front office has drawn up the roadmap, and with it the arrival of the first reinforcements of the Senior Nacional squad.

Already training with us are the Americans Daniel Almarante, Tydarius Fish, and the Australian Jackson Townsend, the brand new players of the Senior team. Almarante is a small although dynamic 5-foot-8 point guard with a multi-athlete profile, since he combined basketball with american football and wrestling in the United States. He comes from Northern Essex Community College, in Massachusetts, where he was co-captain and honorable mention in his conference after averaging 10 points and close to 5 rebounds per contest. Fish is a 6-foot-1 scoring combo coming from playing at Andrew Community College in Georgia. There he averaged almost 10 points per game, and promises to be one of the offensive spark plugs of the revamped squad.

Townsend, on the other hand, is a forward of almost 6-foot-6 in height from Southeastern Community College, after making the jump from his native Australia to the United States to play these two years of college. He thus becomes the first Australian in history to be part of the Torrejón Basketball Academy.

A warm welcome to Torrejón de Ardoz to our new players!
