Senior Nacional begins 2026 with the right foot
We are back! 2026, here we come!
This is the twelfth edition of #LaCronica for the 2025-2026 season, covering everything that has happened for Torrejón Basketball Academy in the FBM basketball courts, both away games and home games at the Javi Limones and Nuria Fernández arenas on January 10th and 11th.
Below is the usual report with all the details:
The U10 Girls Second Year team bounced back after losing by three points in the last game of 2025, with a great victory (51-22) against Santa María del Pilar at the Javi Limones arena. Highlights of this game are available on our YouTube channel for your enjoyment. We remain in second place in the league and face Villanueva de la Cañada at 10:30 AM on January 17th, away from home.
The Boys Under-12 First Year White team has done it again, and now has several wins in a row: We have improved our record to 5-2, and just recently defeated Fuentelarreyna at the Javi Limones arena (65-27). We will face Movistar Estudiantes on January 17th at 6:00 PM in Magariños.
The Girls Under-12 First Year team had their January 10th game against Madrid FSM C.D.B. postponed at their home arena, and on January 17th we will host Buen Consejo Blanco, with the time to be determined. They are a direct rival with the same 3-3 record as us. We will play Buen Consejo Blanco on January 17th at 2:15 PM at the Javi Limones arena.
The Under-12 Second Year Blue team started the calendar year strong (45-62) and are on the upswing after defeating Baloncesto Villalba B at their home court, Enrique Blas. We secured our third victory of the season and overtook this rival in the standings, now climbing to seventh place. This January 17th at 10:45 AM at Javi Limones, we will host Colegio Los Sauces.
The U12 Girls Second Year team has already achieved their sixth victory in the Gold division (50-56), defeating Ensanche de Vallecas A at Javi Limones in spectacular fashion (50-49). What a fantastic win for the José Gismero and Daniel Yusta-led team! A thrilling game, full of excitement, and we have the highlights on our social media channels. We are currently in third place with a 6-2 record, just ahead of these rivals in fourth, our closest pursuers. We will be aiming for our seventh victory in Madrid this January 17th at 9:30 AM against Colegio Menesiano Azul.
The Under-12 Second Year team keeps winning, winning, winning: they are now 8-0 in the league after their victory on January 10th (56-62) against C.B. Villa de Leganés, who were in second place, and on their home court. They will be playing in the Silver Division under Marco Aldany on January 17th at 9:00 AM against Severo Torrejón at the Javi Limones arena.
The Under-14 Girls First Year team remains the league leader after their latest victory against Corazonistas Rojo (61-14) at the Javi Limones arena. The girls performance is no fluke, now boasting an 8-0 record in the competition. They will be playing away on January 17th at 11:15 AM against Brains Arturo Soria.
The Under-14 Girls Preferential team is keeping pace, continuing their winning streak with a 39-33 victory away against Aravaca C.D.E. They are tied for first place in the standings with a 7-1 record. A great game is coming up this January 17th at Javi Limones at 2:15 PM, when we play against Santa María del Pilar A.
The Boys First Year Under-14 team lost again, this time to Fundal Alcobendas D (55-62). This was at Javi Limones. It is a frustrating setback, as they are a direct rival in the middle of the standings. We will be playing away against Juan de Austria on January 17th at 4:30 PM.
The Blanco Boys First Year Under-14 team could not overcome Alcorcón Basket on January 10th, 2026, at Javi Limones (24-49), marking their sixth league defeat. We will be playing Colegio Alameda de Osuna at their home gym on January 17th at 11:00 AM.
The Under-14 Preferente A team improved to 10-0 in the league with their most recent victory against Arganzuela Centro Blanco (54-59), away from home. We will play Pureza de María on January 17th at the Javi Limones arena at 12:30 PM.
The Infantil B team saw their winning streak come to an end when they lost 47-78 to the undefeated league leaders, Baloncesto Aristos C, at the Javi Limones arena. On January 18th, at a time to be determined, we will face Colegio Claret Madrid. The game will also be played at the Javi Limones arena. We will then travel to the La Masó Pavilion on January 17th at 5:30 PM to play against C.D. Norte.
The Infantil A team did their job and secured another victory (92-56) at home against Parla Básquet. We kicked off this phase of the Ahorramás Bronze League with a win, continuing the positive trend from last year. On the schedule for January 18th, we have an away game against Distrito Olímpico B at 4:30 PM in Madrid.
The Women Preferente Cadet team could not secure a win this time, falling to a 6-4 record against Isaac Newton A (46-29) on the road to open 2026. They now sit in fourth place in the standings. This January 17th at 2:15 PM, they will play Corazonistas Blanco at the Javi Limones arena.
The First Year Cadet team record stands at 4-7 in the league after a painful loss last Saturday against Marianistas Amorós (59-60). It was a back-and-forth game that could have gone either way, but ultimately slipped away from them in the final minutes. Highlights are available on YouTube. This January 17th at 9:00 AM at the Nurria Fernández arena, they will host Baloncesto 86 La Salle B.
The White Cadet team was defeated again (109-34) at home on January 10th against C.B. Arganda (14-54). They struggled to get into the game from the start due to the intensity of the opposing team. This January 18th, we are off to Madrid at 10:45 to face San Agustín A.
The Cadete B team suffered another defeat (71-61) against Baloncesto Villalba on their home court. We start this phase with a 0-1 record. We will be at the Javi Limones arena this January 18th to face C.B. Pozuelo at 7:30 PM.
The Cadete A team aims to shake off the negative feelings from the first phase, starting with a victory (56-79) in the FBM Bronze League against A.D.C. Boadilla A. Lukas Martins, the Brazilian player, was one of the standout performers in the team win. We will see them again at the Javi Limones arena this January 18th at 4:00 PM against Real Canoe B.
The Junior Preferente Azul team is on a roll and secured their eighth victory of the FBM season after winning a crucial game away from home (38-42) against San Blas Basket. We are currently 8-2, just ahead of this opponent, in third place in the standings. The team will have a bye this coming week, January 10-11. On January 18 at 7:30 PM, we will be hosting Baloncesto Leganés C at the Nuria Fernández arena.
The Junior Preferente team continues its winning streak, securing another victory and now boasting an 11-1 record. They defeated Liceo Francés at the Javi Limones arena (59-24). This group sits in second place in the standings with only one loss. They will play Isaac Newton B on January 17 at 4:00 PM at their home court.
The Junior B team has also secured another strong win, this time a 73-53 victory on the road against Baloncesto Aristos A, kicking off this phase of the season. We are playing Uros de Rivas A this January 18th at the Javi Limones arena at 5:45 PM.
Junior A finished first in their group with a 9-1 record and started their FBM Silver phase 9-0 after their recent victory against C.B. Getafe A (77-88) away at the Felipe Reyes arena. Álvaro Fernández and Sebastián Malavé were the standout players on offense. We will host Baloncesto Fuenlabrada B this January 18th at 10:45 AM at the Nuria Fernández arena.
Under-22 B fought hard in a great away game against the league leaders, Arroyomolinos C.B. (72-70), losing by just one basket, despite being without key player Aaron Lujano due to injury. We have dropped to sixth place in the competition with a 5-5 record. We will play this January 18th at the Nuria Fernández arena at 4:00 PM against Revolution, who will be visiting us.
The U-22 Gold team remains undefeated and unstoppable, adding another win (58-85) against Cesur Distrito Olímpico in our visit to San Blas. We already have 11 consecutive victories to start the season. We will be playing away against Club Europeo Baloncesto this January 18th at 10:30 AM.
Torrejón Spartans fought like never before against the league leaders, El Valle C.D., on their home court (69-64), and the game came very close. Congratulations to the team coached by the senior Spartan, Tomás Morales. We are fifth in the standings with a 7-3 record after a very positive December. We will host Ensanche de Vallecas C this January 18th at 5:45 PM at the Nuria Fernández arena.
And to finish #TheRecap, the TBS National Senior team is now 8-4 in the VIPS League, after winning at the Javi Limones arena against C.B. Getafe (88-79), who had beaten us in the first leg. Rubén Escanciano was the game top scorer, and this victory propels us to second place in the VIPS League with this record. On January 18th, we will visit E.B. Escuela Barrio del Pilar at 5:45 PM.
